Optimizing MT5 for Execution Clarity

Templates, scripts, hotkeys, and chart hygiene — configure MT5 so you read the market instead of decorating it.

A cluttered MT5 chart is a slow chart — visually and cognitively. The first optimization is subtraction: remove every indicator that doesn't directly inform a decision.

Build templates per timeframe. A 4H chart and a 5M chart serve different purposes; they should not look the same. The 4H is for context — clean candles, structure marks, key levels. The 5M is for execution — session boxes, liquidity, and your entry model overlays.

Hotkeys are the second optimization. Bind your order entry, screenshot, and chart-cycle commands so your hands never leave the keyboard during execution. Friction kills good decisions.

Finally, separate analysis charts from execution charts. Analysis charts hold your bias and plan. Execution charts hold only what you need to pull the trigger. Mixing them is how you talk yourself out of clean trades.
